UKC PULL- QCT 2009

All 3 dogs have been UKC registered & earned their UWP.. so we can now work toward CH titles

anyhow we pulled all the dogs to their max this time around even though it wouldn't count officially ..

wheels on carpet.........................

Chyna's best pull was on Sunday-1760lbs- she broke the record P4P on that track by pulling 1640 on  Friday. Sunday, she pulled 1760 & took P4P in the 55& under - she out pulled Danger!! Chyna weighed in at 38lbs. Sure are proud of how well she did considering she has just been seriously in training since Sept of this year.

Sunday, Danger's best pull was  2280lbs.. he unofficially took P4P in his class and MWP (55 & under) Valerie Piltz (owns Clicker) gave the ribbons to us  ( as she stated it) "technically our two dogs won them) That was very sweet & thoughtful of her..

Dolly was the biggest surprise.. her max pull was 1640 too.. weighing the same as Chyna- 38lbs.. so in reality if she had pulled the weight at same pace as Chyna.. Dolly would have broke the P4P record on THAT track with Chyna. End result was Dolly took second behind her sister Friday & Saturday.

I stressed Dolly out a couple years ago when I started pulling her.. So, she has been in rehabilitation pull training and Ivan pulls her now. She has really come around!

ADBA NATIONALS- 2009

.Danger took 1st place trophy in his 45-55lb class with total of 12 dogs.

Danger's final weight pulled was 4230lbs. He brought me to tears for pulling his heart out for us..
One bummer was his very first pull started at over 3000lbs- the judge set it up that way. 5 dogs went out after the first pull.

image

Here's the video of Danger's first pull.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb2M5c98JGk

A video of his 3rd pull at 3980lbs. He pulled a total of 6 times. We have no videos of his last pull..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT7L0pPXAr8

This video didn't come out the greatest but we think it was his 5th pull

Danger took 2nd place ribbon in the INVITE conformation..against 7 dogs- one of the largest classes second to CH of CH classes.
For those who show ADBA and know some of the judges,, here's the three judges who spent 10 minutes inspecting Danger. That is how Nationals does it.

Ed Hinckle
Pat Briscoe
Brad Bullock

This photo was taken at home.

I don't have photos of Danger's sister and her ribbon.. but she did take a fourth in her INVITE conformation class.

Twisters sister took home a 1st place trophy in her conformation.
Don't pay no attention to the guy with tatoos. He's a sheriff, not a gang banger  :)

image

Laramie took home another 1st place in her Junior Handlers class.

We are thinking we are going to let her show Dolly in future pointed classes. She really does well and Dolly does place sporadically.. too bad Dolly is a blue.  :(

image

image

image

Chyna has improved her pull by 1000lbs .. Plus we have just started her with serious training. At home we had heavy pulled her for about a week.. This show was pretty much to give her a second exposure to pulling on a track and in public. She made us proud even if she didn't win anything.. she likes to pull and just needs a bit more heavy work here at home before we push her at an event.
Her final pull was 67 X her body weight- 2370lbs. Chyna weighed in at exactly 35lbs.

APA WEIGHT PULL- Oct 2008

There were no dogs in Danger's class and only 3 in Tiny's class. Although Tiny did take first in his classes and Danger won first against no dogs :)

Tiny is a rescue I took in. He came with his pedigree and is 100% RE. He is full of drive and proving it with his weight pulling.

No photos at the event this time :(

Tiny weighs in at 65lbs and his maximum pull was 2000lbs. Here is a photo of him pulling at home.

Danger weighed in at 48lbs and his max pull was 1400lbs.

ADBA SHOW- SLC, UT Sept 2008

Danger took Best Puppy trophy and Most Weight Pulled Per Pound trophy as well as two firsts and two seconds in conformation, and two firsts in weight pull. His first pulling competition.

Bouncer and Dolly were not cooperating with stacking, so photos aren't the best.

Bouncer took first and a second in weight pull.

Here is a better photo of Bouncer

Dolly took a first and a third in conformation

Bouncer took second in his class. No photostaken at that pull of Bouncer, but here's a home photo I like alot :)

WESTERN STOCK SHOW PULL 2008

Keeper took home first place in her class. Unfortunately Dolly was disqualified on her first pull because I called her before backing over the finish line. HOW DISAPPOINTING after the weeks of hard work  :(

Bouncer... well he could have showed more effort; he took 4th in his class.

APA WEIGHTPULL RESULTS OCT. 07

FIRST SERIOUS PULL EVENT.. APA in Brighton, CO
Pounds pulled day 1&2.. Bouncer --1400/1460   Keeper(Micah's daughter)--1040/1220   Dolly--800....
Considering I never decided to go til a couple weeks ago and they had exactly 5 days, one hour a day of practice actually pulling weight added on .. I think? they did fine for beginners. I  expected them to foul out sooner cuz rail track is yet again something new, but I made a point to get to the site before anyone.. 2 hrs early and did a few runs with the leash on them. Dolly was real bad about jumping off the run way, so I didn't pull her the second day. Also didn't try to make them max out for reasons that  the max is not my goal right now.. Keeping it light and learning is.
Time to build a cat walk at home.  Anyway, bought a drag sled so I can now do away with the wagon which I have been using and know what weight they are dragging.. by adding on  increments of measurable weight rather than tie on this size a tire to another size tire and so on behind the wagon..( used the wagon to get them over the fear of being run over). For some reason tires don't scare them to drag, but anything on wheels... another story.maybe cuz i run into them on my bicycle if they get in my way..:)

No pics of Dolly at this pull, so here's one from a fun show

ADBA SHOW RESULTS JUNE 2007

BOUNCER TOOK SECOND PLACE IN HIS CONFORMATION CLASS ON SUNDAY- NO PHOTO OF HIM WITH HIS RIBBON SO HERE"S A RECENT FUN PIC OF HIM

BOUNCER'S DAUGHTERS.....................

CHYNA TOOK HOME SECOND PLACE IN HER CONFORMATION CLASS BOTH DAYS

DOLLY  TOOK HOME THIRD PLACE ON SATURDAY

Both Bouncer's daughters were a little uptight at the show probably due to my being so uptight.. as you can see by my expression and their tails tucked. The judge caught up with me after Chyna's class and said she would have taken first, but I need to get her to relax a bit... In reality I need to relax!

THE YEAR HAS BEGUN!!

Bouncer had success in May 2005 at ADBA Fun Show.

He took first in his male group and the trophy for "Judge's Choice".

BOUNCER TOOK ANOTHER FIRST AND BEST IN SHOW TROPHY SEPT 10,2005

Although Chance didn't win Highest verticle jump- he placed 2nd at 74 inches- no trophy for his accomplishment.

AND HE DOESN'T TAKE A RUN FOR MOMENTUM. CHANCE JUMPS STRAIGHT UP FROM A STANDSTILL....

WHO I AM.....

Hi, my name is Joy. No, I am not a boy if the pics above left you unsure.

I am a 46yr old woman who has been an APBT enthusiast going on 20 years. I have recently taken an interest in breeding- goal is for achievers in obedience, as this breed needs credits in this area to help dispell bad raps such as unpredictable, uncontrollable, and  untrustworthy.

I bred for what I needed to produce a future generation of dogs with level of drive & try, depth of attention & willingness to please topped off with intelligence.

SO WISH ME LUCK IN THIS TIME CONSUMING ENDEAVOR...I AM GOING TO NEED IT!!!!!!!!!
